Hisense Error Code E1

Error Code E1 – Indoor Sensor Fault
If your Hisense air conditioner displays Error Code E1, it commonly indicates an indoor room temperature sensor fault. This sensor tells the unit what the room temperature is, and if it fails or reads incorrectly, your air conditioner may stop, short-cycle, or struggle to maintain comfort.
Common symptoms include incorrect temperature readings, poor cooling/heating, or the unit turning off unexpectedly. E1 can be caused by a faulty sensor, loose wiring, moisture in connectors, or a control board issue interpreting the signal incorrectly.
Resetting power may temporarily clear the code, but if the sensor is failing the error will often return.
